Shop Hand (Part Time) at Vertical Jigs and lures

As a Shop Hand (part time) you will play a critical role in the daily operations of our lure manufacturing process. You’ll play a support role to the team helping to prepare crankbaits, assemble and package fishing lures, package and ship products. You show up on time with a positive attitude and willingness to do what it takes to support the team around you. 

What you’ll do as a Shop Hand: 

• You’ll manage the bait preparation process – removing packaging and hooks, taping bills and getting them prepped for our painters. 
• You’ll finish off the small details of each bait and apply a clear coat while adhering to the safety guidelines of the shop. 
• You’ll organize products and stack them on racks to simplify the optimize the packaging and shipping process. 
• You’ll accurately count, package and label finished products, inspecting each product for defects prior to packaging and report any issues to your supervisor. 
• You’ll help organize and ship products to our customers and retail partners including packing slips, packing boxes, loading materials and even driving packages to UPS/USPS when needed. 
• You’ll be able to quickly learn each pattern and participate in counting inventory to help maintain organization of materials, supplies and finished products in the shop. 
• You’ll help us keep the shop and equipment clean to maintain a safe and efficient working environment. 

Your experience: 

• You have a high school diploma or equivalent (high school students welcome to apply!) 
• You have a valid driver’s license and transportation to drive when needed 
• You are familiar with fishing equipment and tackle 
• You can stand for extended periods of time and perform physical work as needed 
• You have a positive attitude, take initiative and work well in the team.
